Recycling 101

While many of us now know why it's important to recycle, do we really know how to recycle right?

A survey¹ conducted by MSE (previously known as MEWR) in 2019 showed that Singaporeans had a number of misconceptions about what can be recycled, and how they should recycle them. For instance, 67% of participants thought that soiled paper food packaging could be recycled. Items contaminated with food or liquid are actually contaminated and must be thrown away instead!

Through this handy "Recycling 101" guide, we hope to help spread awareness on why it so important to recycle correctly, and how you can play your part to better recycling in Singapore!
